October 16 Civil War Living History Event: Detachment, US Engineers Engineers were vital in helping the Union Army in waging war during the Civil War. Cornwall Iron Furnace is hosting living history interpreters of the Detachment, US Engineers on Saturday October 16th. This will be a small and intimate event in which the public will be able to talk one on one about the role of Engineers during the Civil War. This will be an outside event and will be free of charge. There will also be guided tours of the Cornwall Iron Furnace throughout the day for the regular admission fee.

Lectures will be at 7:00 pm. All lectures are scheduled to be virtual utilizing the Zoom platform at this time. If circumstances allow it, lectures will resume in Freeman Hall at Cornwall Manor and in person events will be held on site.

The Lecture Series is free to the public and the facilities are handicap accessible.
